2018 Estech Group owns 100% of the shares
Change of shareholders` structure within Hartmetall Estech AG. The Estech Group owns 100% of the Shares. All Swiss clients are served again directly from Hartmetall Estech AG in Hitzkirch.
2017 Start-up of the new Sinter HIP Facility
The investment made in 2016 into a new Sinter-HIP facility with a value of approx. 1 million CHF is installed in August 2017.
2016 Sales organisation in India
Founding the sales organisation Hartmetall Estech India with its domicile in Pune
2013 Estech Group
The ESTECH Group, Seon, as the majority shareholder, and WMC Sinterstar AG, Lotzwil, as well as iepco ag, Höri have as of now taken over the production facilities, the market activities and the staff of Hartmetall AG, Hitzkirch. Now the company trades under the name HARTMETALL ESTECH AG. This step creates a solid basis for the future.
2008 Commissioning of spray drying / wet grinding
A new production technology on water basis is introduced instead of the former chemical production method. The spray dryer is the core of the operational and capacity expansion, which is commissioned in 2008.
2007 Groundbreaking
Construction of an annex for the new spray dryer. With the groundbreaking for the fourth construction phase in the summer of 2007, the foundation is laid for a future-oriented and environmentally friendly production process.
2003 Sales organisation in Italy
Foundation of the first sales organisation abroad with the name Hartmetall Italia srl. domiciled in the province of Bergamo (Northern Italy).
2002 Environmental certificate
Apart from ISO EN 9001 the company is also awarded the ISO EN 14001.
2001 Completion
Extension building. The extension building with a total surface of 4000 m² of additional production space is completed and commissioned.
2000 Groundbreaking
With the groundbreaking in December 2000 the foundation is laid for the third construction phase. For the time being the largest single investment in the history of Hartmetall AG.
1999 Plot purchase and extension
Thanks to the dynamic development of the entire company, it has by now reached its capacity limit. New plans are made. The company bought a building plot with a size of 5000 m² on the north side of the existing building. First ISO EN 9001 certificate of the company
1978 Completion of the second manufacturing hall
Already five years after the new production site was commissioned, it became necessary to build an extension in 1978.
1973 Beginning of production in the Hitzkirch
Already in 1973, the new manufacturing and administrative building was completed, and the merging of the former production sites in Aarau and Adliswil took place. The expansion of the production went hand-in-hand with the expansion of the range of production, the intensification of the sales activities, as well as the target-oriented opening of new export markets all over the world. This started a dynamic development process.
1972 Location search and company merger
Search for a suitable location to set up new manufacturing and administrative building. The new location was found in Hitzkirch in a beautiful valley with a lake in the Canton of Lucerne. The two companies Carduro AG and Sintermetall AG were merged to become Hartmetall AG. The objective: Bundling competences and the use of synergies to create optimum conditions under one roof together and to lead the company to success and a promising international focus.
1941 Start of carbide production
The origins of Hartmetall AG reach back to the 1940s. The start of carbide production in two separate commercial enterprises with two different owners: Carduro AG Aarau (trademark carduro) and Sintermetall AG Adliswil (trademark radiamant)
